4 Mantras to Manifest Money
Have you ever taken time to stop and think about what you think about money, prosperity and abundance?
I’ve been making vision boards each year for the past five years and I usually place a picture of money (hundred dollar bills, thank-you-very-much) on my board, but I hadn't stopped to take inventory of how I thought about money until two years ago.
I’ve read lots of self-development books and done a great deal of self-work to help me manifest healthy relationships and friendships, jobs and the home I purchased ten years ago; but I wasn’t as intentional with my effort when it came to money, prosperity and abundance.
I sat down with one of my mentors, who is a financial advisor, two years ago to go over my financial net worth, goals and to create an action plan to achieve them.
I’d done well for myself and don’t dismiss the information I’d learned about money from my family, my mistakes, and my successes; but I knew I needed more tools to increase my net worth, create generational wealth and create financial abundance that would enable me to have financial freedom for the luxurious and prosperous life I’d envisioned for myself.
I realized a few things from this meeting with my mentor: I put a limit on how much money I could make, I had a mindset of lack instead of abundance (disguised as humbleness), and I was risk-averse when it came to money.
In the book, The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne you’ll find lessons, stories and steps to tapping into the law of attraction (which is the secret). Various teachers, thought leaders, spiritualists and other notable people discuss how each one of us has the power to manifest anything we want to see happen in our lives, which includes wealth and prosperity, in abundance.
Bob Proctor, philosopher, author and personal coach says, “Everything that’s coming into your life you are attracting into your life. And it’s attracted to you by virtue of the images you're holding in your mind. It’s what you’re thinking. Whatever is going on in your mind, you are attracting to you.”
My thoughts, which became beliefs, about how money was limited created a mindset of financial lack. But, I knew I could change my thoughts and start the process of attracting abundance.
Step one: Asking for what you want
The 3-Steps to manifesting what you want to see in your life are simple: Ask, Believe and Receive.
The first step “ask” requires you to take inventory of your thoughts, write them down in present tense. Be specific about what you want and refrain from placing the focus on the negative thoughts and beliefs that have manifested negative, limited or lacking things in your life.
I decided to create money mantras, sacred words to meditate upon, that were aligned with my financial goals. I am still on the journey, but I can tell you that I have already seen a difference in my life.
This post is in collaboration with Rebekah Gamble, who has her own blog centered on teaching young adults how to gain financial literacy while practicing self-care. She wholeheartedly believes financial literacy is something everyone can learn.

Step two: Believing in the law of attraction
Growing up, money was something that caused stress.
Going to the store was full of “we can’t afford that, put it back” and I never knew that being wealthy was within reach, until I started to take my financial journey seriously.
When education became my top priority I could no longer blame the little exposure to healthy money habits growing up for my lack of assets and contentment with debt. A positive money mindset can single handedly change your life. The ability to believe and have faith when life isn’t physically manifesting what you desire yet, is powerful.
Believe as if it is real. Visualize what you want and create it in your mind. Allow yourself to see and feel how having the money you want will manifest in your life.
By doing this, you’ve shifted into the third step: receiving. When you are in this frequency, you are inviting opportunities and actions into your life that align with what you want.
Remember, manifestation is a process, so you will need knowledge, help, people and other tangible actions to get what you desire.
Creating good money habits
Every two weeks I revamp my budget and then I start to wonder if I should hold off on spending money until I am able to retire early. But, I always pause and make time to remember my favorite mantra to manifest money.
I deserve to live a comfortable life and I am capable of having it
Thinking of the future does not mean you can not live now. Instead you have to find a balance that works for you. Be your own cheerleader when no one else sees your potential and buy your cup of coffee to celebrate making it to the end of a long workweek.
Forgiving yourself for the past
I am good with money and my past mistakes do not determine my future
If last week you overspent, indulged in retail therapy, and put something else on a credit card, it’s not the end of the world.
A mistake could have happened today and if you understood an hour later where things could have been different, then a lesson was learned. Lessons are what lead to growth and a decreased chance that you will do the same thing again.
Believing you can build wealth
I can make and keep making a lot of money (I’m talking millions)
The meeting with my mentor two years ago is a direct result of this mantra. I believed I could make more money, but I didn’t know how.
I had a relationship with my mentor for almost a year before I recognized the opportunity to get her help with investing, budgeting and creating multiple streams of income.
The fear of losing money also kept me from making more of it. There are risks with building wealth, but with proper knowledge and expert financial advisors to help you invest, save and budget properly, you can grow your money.
You can also make more money if you lose it. There is no limit to how much you can make and taking a risk and losing money doesn't have to be a failure; it can be a lesson.
Trusting that your talents will create abundance
My talents and gifts will make me a lot of money
I had done very well financially in my career as an educator, but as that era in my life began to transition into something new, I resisted it because I didn’t think I could make enough money through my talents and gifts.
Because I believed that, that is what manifested in my life. When I asked, believed and received that I could make enough (actually more than enough) money through my talents, opportunities to do so started to present themselves.
You are not bad with money.
Needing an extra strict budget or an accountability buddy when it comes to money management, makes you financially aware. That awareness fits in perfectly with the law of attraction as you start to live differently.
“Thoughts become things,” another gem to remember from Bob Proctor, will help you to interrupt thoughts that do not align with what you want to see in your life.
Attracting money begins with your mindset. The more positive you are with your thoughts the more you will see peace and opportunity in your daily life.
Allow yourself to blossom with the law of attraction.
